1010: Ask. Seek. Knock. + Can We Call God _______?
What should we ask, seek, and knock on?
I ain’t afraid to ask.
It’s gotten me things that don’t exist at excellent restaurants, “What’s the chance of me getting a side of bacon?”
Upgrades on flights (pre-app days): “Since you run the airline, all these other people seem to be rude and ungrateful. I am available for one of those upfront seats if you need someone.”
Don't be afraid to ask. In fact, Christ said we should…
“Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.” Matthew 7:7-8
That sounds like a genie-in-a-bottle opportunity!
Well, not quite.
Remember, Jesus has been talking about viewing life through healthy eyes, focusing on Source, and it not being our job to determine the value of other people.
The Christ consciousness being shared is one of soul confidence and alignment with Spirit related to what Jesus has been teaching on the mountain.
Ask for the good eye.
Seek the kingdom.
Knock on the door of the heart.
EVERYONE who comes with this attitude and motive receives, finds, and opens.
Ask for the good eye. It will be given.
Seek the kingdom. It will be found.
Knock on the door of the heart. It will be opened.
9 “Which of you, if your son asks for bread, will give him a stone? 10 Or if he asks for a fish, will give him a snake? 11 If you, then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask him!”
What Can We Call God?
I remember the first time I heard someone call God the “Universe.” It was on Oprah, and I knew some preachers were about to get worked up and go on a corrective binge of confrontation.
They did not disappoint. Pulpits worldwide warned of this “new age terminology that watered down the glory of God.”
(I maketh not that up.)
This video is especially for Christians because we can be the most sensitive to terminology related to names. However, all faiths, inter-faiths, and non-faiths are welcome! :)
I will be using an EXTREME example to make a point.
[WARNING - I share a story of abuse from when I was a child and want to provide a heads-up on that. In the future, I will cover this from the standpoint of being a victim. If you have been abused and are sensitive to hearing another’s story, it may be best for you to skip the video. ]
For today, the story is to make a point about the names of God and how people may have trauma-based or toxic associations with certain names. Plus why we need to be more sensitive and compassionate.

What is my name for God, and why have I chosen that?
Blessings!
